All I want to know is what he was doing in a palm tree. Is palm tree-climbing a common pastime Down Under?? :D

due to his age and long history of drug and alcohol abuse, this fall has potential to do more damage than if any of us fell from a tree...he may be 62, but he doesn't look a day over 80

i sure hope he rests and recovers fully and doesn't try that stunt again

He hurt himself a few years ago falling of his library ladder. As someone I know put it - I didn't know he could read let alone have a library :D

Hey, as he's in the country he's quite welcome to drop by my surgery and I'll try to put him on a Sickness Benefit...:)

    I Switched Keith Richards

Back in another life, I switched KR. When I was a reseller (circa 1995), I got a referral to his management firm (his, not the Stones). Sold them a bunch of Quadras to bring their office into the 20th century. Part of the deal was I did some training with them in exchange for autographed Stones CDs and concert tickets.

I met KR one day while in the office. He was a super nice guy and talked to me for 15 minutes and gave my some autographed CDs.

Several weeks later, I got an order for a PowerBook for him. Seems he loved the Macs and was actually able to use them. He hated his Toshiba laptop. Sadly, no training with him.

It would certainly be ironic if after his years of defiant drug abuse he were to die from falling out of a tree. Reminds me of the 5 times russian ice racing champion motorbike rider who died while walking through his front doorway. He tripped and fell awkwardly.

    Don't you mean Charlie?
I don't know, I've never met the guy

... I think that was about Keith Moon, actually.

The thick layer of leather padding he keeps over his face protected his head from the impact of the fall. He should be ok and good to go very soon.

Next fall: Fall from greatness?

a really tough set of genes

when he dies, and if he gives his body to medical science, then the docs in the uk should find out what made him so tough ;)
