Are you still able to boot after the kernel panic?

kernel panics can be more serious if they are hardware related. This means that something like your RAM or other internal components are malfunctioning, causing a system panic. If you can boot back into OS X then I wouldn't worry unless it happens again. I would consult this guide and try the steps listed to isolate and identify the cause of the kernel panic so it can be more easily resolved. Some kernel panics are software related and if you can identify the software that is causing the problem, you can more easily fix it by re-installing the software or repairing it.
