Is there anyway to force the keyboard backlight to stay on?

In the preferences, there's a checkbox to prevent OS X from dimming it.

Why would you want to keep the keyboard light on at all times? As of now, I use my MBP/PB at home. So, I turn off that feature so that I don't burn off the keyboard lighting.

Burn off? Its an LED... the hard drive and likely the LCD will fail much sooner than the keyboard backlight...

That's what I thought, and if it were to fail I'd replace it or the MBP. It's gonna last me say 24 months max anyway.

Are you sure of that? Someone on this forum said his/her PB's backlight stopped working after 2 years of use. I think MBP shares the same backlight mechanism with PB.
