I am coming from a mid-2010 Macbook where you can shut it down with the keyboard shortcut Control-Option-Command-Eject. This has been the way I always shut down the laptop. What I've been wondering though is that since the TB models don't have the eject button, is there a similar keyboard shortcut to do the same thing or perhaps a shortcut on the Touch Bar?

I'm interested to find out too

My rMB doesn't have an eject button either but you can achieve the same thing with control-option-command-power.

That should work on the new MacBook Pros (the Touch ID is also a power button, I believe?)

Thanks for the reply. I tried it in the store, but it didn't work. Perhaps the display models are configured differently. I also tried it with the 2015 rMBP in the store, also didn't work. I'll try it once mine arrives.
