LaCie Lightscribe Labeler problem

Downloaded the host program and the update - which came with the external Pioneer DVD burneer 12. Burner works fine but the Labeler will not print nor even show up in the proper windows. Any ideas what is causing this? I must be missing something somewhere. Thanks.

Pioneer 112 is a 2,0 USB
MacBook OS X 4.11 system

I did a quick search on that model burner, and don't see where it's capable of LightScribe.

When you say "host software", you mean LaCie's? or?

Yes, from LaCie. This according to instructions on their web site. The update I downloaded is said to be for OS X 3.9 and u p --- but maybe it won't work with the Pioneer. I wonder.
