Hello everyone how are you, I've obviously been better. Ok so I replaced the cpu fan on my imac I followed the ifixit steps and everything was going pretty well. Until it was time to put the Mother board back in. I struggled with this for some time until I got smart and removed the ram from the bottom. I know I know.

So after doing that the Mother board slid rite In. I also had another problem there was a small wire marked to be clipped in the slot that said pwr. So I put them back in the connector best I could. Put everything back together. I went to start it and nothing at all. So I took it back apart and missed with this power connector some more. And powered it on without the lcd on. The fans started roaring which was a good sign I thought. I put it back together again.

Now the fans come on but no chime no screen nothing. And is weird the fans run for a second then shut off and start back up its almost as if it reboots again. Well I started thinking what could I have done wrong so I remembered struggling with the Mother board. So I took out the ram cards to examine them there are two 2gb cards and I noticed on the bottom edge on both I had broken off a bunch of surface mount capacitors the really small ones ya know. So do you think that is the problem or wouldn't the computer still boot with out ram. I just hope somehow that little tiny power wire did cross and send bad current. Well any help would be greatly greatly appreciated please. I have so much College home work to-do I need this thing. Thanks again.
