Launchpad can't delete apps in ML. Is it a bug or a deliberate change?
Can't confirm that. My Launchpad can delete Apps in 10.8, only apps from the store of course (as in 10.7).
As above - can delete apps here. (Also, only apps you've downloaded through the app store can be deleted this way )
I have the same issue, cannot delete apps from launch pad. I can only delete apps I downloaded and installed manually.
So how exactly are we meant to delete apps we download and install manually?!
Why is it always so difficult with Apple?
How did you delete an app before launch pad ?
That's how you delete an app that wasn't downloaded from the appstore.
Hi Mr Smart Arse, I only just got a mac so your unhelpful comment is ... unhelpful.
Open Finder and go to Applications tab on the sidebar. You can drag apps to the trash from there.
thank you! finally someone kind enough to be helpful / not just waste their lives with useless comments!
It was a bug.
I logged into another account. That account could delete an app from launchpad. Logged back into my own account, and now my account can do it again.
