i've been waiting for the new spotlight. searching with NOT and OR would be so helpful. also, the author writes how spotlight highlights "show all" and requires the user to use the arrow keys or use the mouse to select the desired application to launch it. but all you have to do is press command and then return to do the same thing. still, i'm all for improvement, however slight it may be.

I hope they increase the speed as well. I've got an older G4 PowerBook and it always takes like 10-20 seconds to get results.

If by any chance you are Online ADC members, you can see a video from the last WWDC where they go into some more detail on Spotlight. Looks pretty good to me.

Spotlight looks like it's really growing up, but I'm really excited about Quick Look! I'd never heard of that feature til now!

Definitely one of the features that's lacking, I feel, in OSX.

True :) Though I've heard Vista's search is pretty good now.

Yeh Vista's Instant Search seemed a little faster than Spotlight. However, it takes much longer to get to, so Spotlight is still better...
