    No company could ever guarantee perfect code. One of the first rules of software engineering is that you can never write code that doesn't have defects and you should be prepared to continue development after the software is released. This guy is talking out the wrong end.

    Yeah. Although I love to hate MS as much as the next guy, if they won this suit (extremely unlikely) it would set a TERRIBLE precident. Requiring perfection from software companies would effectively mean the end of software development.
