Any alternative programs that are similar to Little Snitch and works on Mountain Lion?

They do seem to be taking a long time to beta this one up. Maybe some trouble with the way ML allows these sort of apps?

Unless you are specifically testing an app for a company, they typically do not go out of their way to update their apps for software that is not publicly available for sale. They tend to wait due to the changes that can occur.

agreed, the whole point of a dev preview is for the developers of apps like little snitch time to do testing on the new OS, not for the public to test for them

I spoke to soon. Now they have a beta for ML preview on their site. :)

You can also edit your hosts file in /etc/hosts and redirect certain domains to point to your local machine rather than accessing the outbound internet. This is one of the more popular means to block certain sites.

All Unix based systems use this, and the method will always work.
