Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) kicks off today in San Francisco with the traditional keynote being held for the first time at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, the same location Apple used for its "Hey Siri" media event last September.

The keynote begins at 10:00 AM Pacific Time / 1:00 PM Eastern Time, and we're expecting to see a number of announcements focused primarily on software updates including iOS 10 and OS X 10.12, as well as new versions of watchOS and tvOS. We may also see some updates to Apple's services such as Apple Pay, iCloud, and perhaps iMessage, but major hardware announcements are not expected.

Apple is providing a live video stream on its website and via Apple TV.

In addition to Apple's video stream, we will be updating this article with live blog coverage and issuing Twitter updates through our @MacRumorsLive account as the keynote unfolds. Highlights from the event and separate news stories regarding today's announcements will go out through our @MacRumors account.

The full keynote transcript in reverse chronological order is available after the jump.

Hoping for an OS X system-wide dark mode again this year. Not really hyped for Siri on the Mac TBH, but the ability to unlock a Mac with an iPhone's Touch ID could be useful.

Those Siri hints got me moderately hopeful.
Finder and Dark Mode on iOS would be HUGE for me.

Unfortunately I think it wasn't so much talking about those coming to iOS, but Siri coming to Mac and controlling those settings on a Mac. But yeah, I freaking want that too. At least the iPad Pro needs some kind of file management. I think dark mode for iOS is a reasonable bet.

Anyone want to make any last minute crazy predictions?

Search engine? LOL.

Not hopeful for any hardware announcements :(, but if not today, I'm very hopeful we'll have solid information about them by the end of the month.

Despite the anticipated lack of hardware news, I still think this could be an interesting keynote: the absence of leaks will make even small announcements about OS plans a surprise. Yup, I think I'll sit down and watch this..

Is this the first keynote where we know so little? Outside of the App Store stuff Apple pre-announced and the assumed heavy Siri focus what do we really know? In 2013 we saw leaks of new iOS icons that were pretty accurate. And even 2014 Mark Gurmam leaked plenty of stuff about iOS 8. But this year no leaks at all. If Music and iOS 10 have been redesigned none of it has leaked.

Line-Up:
Welcome
Sales
You app developers are great
We have written checks worth of XXX gazillion Dollars to you. (applause)
Some new software.
Some new Features.
This is new in iOS (hundreds of keywords unreadable / incomprehensible).
Some highlights: Dark Mode (thundering applause), new colors (thundering applause)
Internet: Apple is DOOMED, APPLE IS SOOOO DOOMED
We love what you do with iOS devices and we want to be even better. (thundering applause)
iOS and OS X are the same, that's why we call them iOS PRO and macOS AIR!
Internet: Apple store is down! Apple store is down!
New hardware.
Internet: Apple is DOOMED. Steve Jobs is gone!
We love you. You make Apple great. Thank you.
And some music, because we love you so.
Internet: Apple is doomed. Apple is doomed.
Internet: WHAT? NO ONE MORE THING? Where's the Apple Car? Where's the egg cooker? APPLE IS SOOOOOO DOOOMED.
Ten weeks later: Where's iOS X, where's macOS? I can't wait for it!
After installing: it's buggy.
Internet: Apple is doomed. Apple is (yaaawn, snore.)

Okay, ready for some excitement? Shake it up. Feel the hype. Live the dream and SELL IT, boys!
