It was great to see the live updates appearing on MacRumorsLive.com during the keynote without having to manually refresh the page. Can someone point me to a tutorial on how to accomplish that effect?

Search for AJAX. It's a combination of Javascripting, XML, etc.

I was under the impression that it was just an iframe with a meta refresh tag. But on the other hand, I'm a newbie :)
