U are trying to revive a 3 years old thread, and the other answers don't make sense either.

Why do you need the MAC address? Normal usage you should not need to know what this is.

Necro thread indeed, but this is like the thread where someone said you don't need iStats because you don't need to know what's going on in your computer. Blatantly false, while you may not there are plenty of reasons to need this info. If you don't use it, that's fine, but even in normal usage this is info you could require.

how to get MAC addr of your iphone

if you run 'arp -a' at the command line of the router that your iphone connected to, it gives the list of ip addr and respective MAC address.
