My girl's PMG5 was on the fritz and I had to do a back-up and then an erase and install of tiger and her apps. After installing Logic Pro 7 with her Academic XSKey, I downloaded the v7.1.1 update and ran it. I got a pop-up upon opening the installer stating:

"Logic Pro Update did not find an eligible copy of Logic Pro 7 in / Applications."

I know that the Academic version prevents full version upgrades, like from Logic 7 to 8. ..But does such also prevent incremental updates? ...say, to 7.1.1?

I'm wondering about the v7.2 crossgrade. Nowhere on Apple's site does it state that academic versions are restricted from the crossgrade. Anyone have any input?

The forms for the pro app Universal crossgrades actually specifically state that Academic versions are eligible. As for the incremental upgrade, I don't know for sure. I don't have Logic, so I can't say either way.
