Just checked and the LogMeIn Ignition app is universal for both iphone/ipod touch and iPad. It is a free upgrade if you already own the iphone/ipod touch version. I have been waiting to buy this app for the iPad and its great that I can also use it for my ipod touch today!

I got my update yesterday. I was excited.

Startup for the iPhone is a lot faster now. I like the improvements.

I use this App quite a bit also. Over 3G it works awesome.

This rating on the app page is deceptive:

Yes, you need to buy the app. No, you don't need to pay for the full Logmein service. Ignition works just fine with Logmein Free account.

If you want the full service on a PC you'd have to pay for coverage on all the computers. Buying a $30 app doesn't make the service free (which costs $50/computer annually).

I love this app! It's been a life saver many times, especially since there isn't a true VNC app (not a fan of the available ones), and I'm glad it'll be easy to use on the iPad; hopefully even faster via WiFi due to having 802.11n capabilities.

    great app

this is a really GREAT! app, I use it to remote repair and guide people on systems around the world.

While 29$ is a lot to pay, it does go on sale sometimes. Maybe they'll do a promotion for ipad launch though.

I REALLY like the fact that the company has chosen to make it FREE and available to current owners to download onto their ipads. I think they'll get a lot of respect for that and probably attention when people see others use it.
