Not as cringe worth as the books I have been seeing on eBay:
Ironically my signature says Have You Hugged Your Mac Today?
I can't find the other one, but it had a few chapters on virus protection for OS 7 and onwards.
I'm missing something here. What's cringeworthy?
Must be Mackeeper or Norton.
What's wrong with selling Mackeeper?
I'm wondering the same thing.
I have at admit I don't get it either.
Mackeeper is basically malware.
I know many people have had many issues with it but calling it maleware seems strong. Apple even sells a version of it so you can't rip Best Buy without ripping Apple.
The reviews at the bottom of that page are not the best.
As I said, many people have had many problems with it. I'd expect the rules to be bad. I just doubt Apple is selling malware.
Referring to it as malware is called exaggeration for effect. It ties into the system like AOL used to root around windows.
Well they do sell the iPhone.
Look up mac keeper and it comes up as malware
MacKeeper and Norton are both Crap, avoid like the plague.
MacKeeper isn't technically malware. It's more like UselessWare and potentially ProblemWare. Avoidance of it and similar apps is highly recommended.
