So I wanted to put my LOTR Trilogy on my computer so I wouldn't have to use the DVDs because I'm trying to keep all of my DVDs in storage. The only problem is I just copied the files over to my computer and now DVD player is saying that they are protected and what not. To get it to work do I just need to make a disc image?

Edit: I don't want to use handbrake or any true ripping applications that will result in loss of video quality and or the menus.

Mactheripper.

You can make a disc image of each DVD with Disk Utility and try that, though for me it's been hit or miss lately.
