i still hav ethe kernel panic problem on my mbp and still havent had a chance to get it fixed. today i had a kernel panic and on the restart a reallly loud beep sounded out once before the chime. i have seen here on the forums somewhere what the beeps mean, but i cant find it anywhere. what does the one beep mean?

Did you install any new RAM modules recently?
That's the first thing I would check. If you did, then I think it's possible that you have a "dodgy" module in there.
Try removing the one you inserted (if you did). And see if you can boot up.
