Finally Lightroom Mobile starts to make sense. With this release Lightroom Mobile can import a raw file from the IOS camera role and edit it......the raw file.....not a jpg substitute. It looks like most of the capabilities of LR desktop Develop module are in it. What I noticed missing is the healing/cloning tools, the adjustment brush, and a few others. You can do the graduated and radial filters. If you edit a file you can have the edited version synched to the desktop....provided you are somewhere with wifi.

So does it have parity with LR on the desktop? Nope. Is it a great forward for those of us who want to stop toting laptops? Yep.

If you put LR mobile on your iPhone, sign into CC and let LR access the camera roll......LR will import the photos you take and synch them back to your desktop copy of LR. That will all the nicer when IOS 10 arrives and with a newer iPhone you can start shooting raw images that will automatically be moved to your desktop...provided you have wifi coverage.

The CC ecosystem involving your phone, tablet, and desktop to capture, collect and synch images to the desktop catalog is something to consider when selecting your set of software tools for handling images.
