    We just get a new mac air. We were trying netflix video, and the browser did not response. Now It get a black screen and can't start.

    I tried to press power button, etc, but nothing works.

    We are rather new to Mac world. What are the things I could try?
    :confused::confused:

    BTW, the Mac air comes with a power supply only. There is no DVD drive or thing like that. How do I re-install OS if I need to?

    Any suggested extra items are good to have?

    Thanks!

    Have you kept the power button pressed for like 5-10 seconds?

    That should power it off.

    To make a fresh install just take the usb dongle that came with you MacBook Air, plug it in, power on your computer, press the C key untill the computer displays your HD and the dongle icons, select that one and you will enter the OS installation mode.

    I hope this helps

    Thanks. I called MAC support. ctrl-option-shift-power did the trick.
    ;)
