mac as a telephone...

    hi,

    i was wondering if it is possibel to use my mac as a telephone for the landline.

    Also Vonage offers voip software, it says there's a version for mac. You have to be a customer to download it.

    and skype works better than most, and is multiplatform (one that actually works well!)

    mm..not so much internet telephony.

    like i know tehre's software that you can use that could make the mac an answering machine. maybe you need some special adapter?

    but goign along those lines...if it can be an answering machine, cant you technically just use the modem as a telephone?

    i think this is more of what your looking for phone valet, iv heard good reiews about it aswell
