I'm looking into getting a TI Graphing Calculator (probably TI-83 Plus Silver) for some high school courses next year. On the TI website, one of its features is listed as the ability to:

"Use the TI Connectivity Cable that is included to connect your computer to download Apps, games, data and more!"

Does anyone know if this only works on a PC, or would it work on a Mac as well with the right drivers?

I have a TI-89 and it works fine. I'd assume the 83 is the same. I had to buy the transfer package separately, but it worked fine. The included program only worked in OS 9, so I had to download it off of TI's website, but that's OK. It was easy.

I have a TI-89, and it does work, although TI Connect X has given me all sorts of file type problems when I want to submit files to ticalc.org or similar sites. If you just want to back up what's on your calculator and download new programs/applications, it'll work great.
