One of the biggest problems I have with my Mac Mail is that the red push number on the icon includes ALL unread messages. Right now I have it set up with an iCloud and 2 Gmail accounts. My inbox has no unread messages but my red push icon reads 196.

In order to get it to read 0 I need to go in to each subfolder within the 2 Gmail accounts and mark each as read even. I need to go to the "All Mail" folder and mark as read and then I need to repeat the process with the rest of the folders.

I get a ton of emails and especially for the ones for work which I only need to keep record of but don't need to read I like to quickly drag and drop them into the appropriate folder. This doesn't happen on my iPhone or iPad. Is there any way to get the red push number on the app badge to only read the unread messages in each accounts inbox?? I also use Sparrow and it has no problem doing this.
