Um....great, thanks. 22MB is quite a bit to download, though.

And don't get banned again. ;)

Wow! Nice pdf. Thanks for the link to the torrent; I'll be using this when I upgrade ram and possibly the hard drive in the future.

Good tech manual for upgrading ram if you don't want to get it from Apple. The average Joe shouldn't go beyond the ram upgrade it seems (too much to break or forget to redo).

The guy in the photos...what's with that ring? Yikes!

Yeah, Apple definitely didn't hire a hand model for this. ;-)

Also, what's up with those horrible sketches at the beginning of each section? (i.e. the blue one on the first page) Those are awful!

Thanks, though, for the PDF smash.

Dang. Very nice. I already see a mod in my future other then a hard drive and RAM upgrade. The Airport Antenna. My access point is located in the basement. I'll probably created an extended antenna by running it out of the base of the device through the holes on the botten and attach an external antenna. Thanks! This guide rocks.

PS- I also think the people who were bitching about how the mini should have been 2 inches higher should seriously look at this thing and realize that it would have need to be more then a couple inches higher. The bloody thing is so integrated it’s insane.

Ok, what does this mean?... Will changing the mini's memory stick at home void its warranty in any way? What's written here is should, not must. Should I then consider that I can actually do it myself?

It's just that my father is one step away from buying a mini (and my mother has already decided she wants an iPod shuffle :D) and I'm not letting him use it with the stock 256MB of RAM. I was thinking about switching it with a 512MB stick at least. ;)

Yes. You can have one or the other if you build to order, but if you upgrade at a later date you've got to get both.

I don't think they've announced it yet. A linked article (macbytes->CNet) mentioned $79 later in the week to upgrade a shop bought mini to Airport so I assume $79 for Airport/Bluetooth module?
