    Hi everyone,

Does the graphics chip inside the Mac Mini (Intel Core Duo) support a second Display (extended, not mirrored)?

I just wondered if I could buy and adapter or something and plug in two monitors?

    Thanks a lot! :)

    Do you mean the iBook?

The Mac mini only has one video output so it only supports one display. There's no mirroring or extended desktop like with a laptop, there's only one display.

EDIT: Hey that adapter's pretty damned cool. I doubt it would work with the mini though.

Sound interesting, even though $300 is pretty expensive.
But nice to know, that it may be possible if the intel graphics chip was supported.

    Thanks for the link!

I'm not sure if it is supported. Dual displays is a Pro feature.

I just saw that there's also a DualHead2Go which is only about €120 (including 16% VAT) over here in Germany.

It would be great if this would work with the mini's graphics chip....

edit: According to a review most integrated graphics chips from Intel are supported... seems that there's a good chance for it to work.

Hope so, but what display were you planning on setting up? Why not just go for a 23" ACD. That's the largest res. the mini can handle.

Yes, the Mac Mini does work with the dualhead2go.

EDIT: The model above doesn't have the Intel processor with the integrated graphics,so Im not sure it would work with the Intel.....Sorry for the false alarm.

    Btw 2 x 20" is cheaper than 1 x 23" :)
