The Front Row controls look cumbersome, but very cool effort.

This is awesome, I've got to try it on my Prius ... or maybe not. If it ever gets to the point where I need to use a computer when I drive, I hope someone will just call Dick Cheney and put me out of my misery.

Yeah it does look kind of hard to control but it's really cool that it can be done, and a great idea as well. I think we'll see a lot more of this kind of mod, especially as 802.11 starts to expand out to entire cities and more cars get touch screens in them.
It would be nice if someone could come up with a simple, cheap product/install that could be done at a stereo place, it seems like the only really elegant solutions to a car media center/computer install are either do-it-yourselfs or really expensive.

That is pretty cool! At first I thought they pirated OS X and ran it on the onboard computer (which normally runs Linux I believe). But now I see it's a separate Mac installed in the car, sharing the onboard display.

PS, I thought it was cool when I opened my PowerBook in a Prius and the car and PowerBook "saw" each other via Bluetooth. There wasn't a darned thing they could share (I tried sending my Address Book to the built-in phone) but you can't have everything :)
