Getting ready to take a class and was wondering if (realistically) the iPad pro + the Apple pencil is a realistic substitute for note taking over a paper notebook and pen.

On the one hand, I like the idea that my hand-written notes would be digitized and thus searchable. But, on the other hand, if it's still too clumsy, a regular paper notebook+pen is probably better.

Noteability looks like the go-to app for this kind of usage, but I'm still not sure it's all worth it.

Suggestions based on usage?

TIA
