Mac pro internal hard drives

    :confused: Thinking about getting western digital internal hard drive Both are Sata drives. it is about half of the price of apple for a 500 gig I can purchase 2 for the price of one apple has anyone had experience with this and are they compatible?:

    I've had bad experiences with WD drives in general.

    However, the new Western Digital SATA drives are very good, If you can, get the RAID edition drives with 5 year warranty.

    I have a Hitachi 80 gig for my system/boot drive. Works very well for me. Only 80 gigs because this is the system only drive, all my other stuff goes on the other hard drive. Backups to my G4.
