    Hello all,

I have an old iMac G3/400 DV with 1 GB of ram and 80GB HD (7200rpm). I used the machine primarily as a partime poker playing/internet surfing/guest computer. I am thinking about replacing it with a iMac G4 :) With the introduction of the intel macs, I was thinking the used PPC macs would be dropping in prices. Then I realized two things, one I dont have that much money being a college student and two even if I do I will need to somehow put the good ol' iMac to a good home if I do plan on replacing it.

Now I am thinking that in order to satisfy my needs and save my wallet. I will do what most people do with their cars and video games and that is to do a trade in. So the questions are: Is there any program that anyone tried out and would recommend?

Hmm i guess I didnt specify on the program I want. I did think about ebay but I dont like dealing with ebay buyers. I want to have a one stop shopping thing b/c I am lazy. I just want a dealer to buy off my imac and then I can use the credit to purchase a refurbed mac from them. So any ideas? :)

Here are a couple places online:

    http://www.powermax.com

    http://www.shrevesystems.com

Most places like this usually lowball any trade-in, so depending on where you live, it might cost you more to ship your iMac than what you'd actually get back. Best bet might be craigslist, penny saver type ad, or even a pawn shop.
