When I am doing something for a while, that uses about half of the total of two cores (activity monitor shows this), the fan will be spinning at the full 6200, and the second core eventually gets disabled! This happens when I am video chatting, no rogue processes. It's bad, because then the first core just maxes out, I get jittery video, and it's running about 150Farenh. I presume they are trying to protect from overheating, but just from ichat? Everything chokes, trying to run on a single core.
