    Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro and since today the brightness buttons (F1/F2) don't work anymore. The brightness is relatively low and I would like to increase it. Any idea how I can do that, and why I can't do it anymore with F1/F2?

    Thank you.

Have you used the keyboard preferences to make the function keys work as function keys without using the Fn key? If you you now need to use the Fn key to alter brightness/volume etc.

Otherwise I think you can adjust the brightness in Display Preferences.

    Hi,

thanks. I haven't changed keyboard shortcuts but just in case I tried F1/F2 in combination with any key I could think of including the Fn key.

I tried to change the brightness with the system preferences but I couldn't find where to do it. I looked under 'Display' but there is nothing about brightness.
