While I was quite positively surprised by the MacBook specs (except for integrated graphics on the high-end model), I am still left wondering whether or not Apple truly left out an integrated mic. I can't imagine them having done so, since the MacBook has an integrated iSight and I doubt people would want to take a mic/headset around with them, but I'm still a bit worried.

Could someone please confirm whether or not the MacBook has a built in mic?

It's next to the iSight like the mic on the iMac.

    ErickG,

The MacBook machine will have a mic built in. it is right by the camera, in both the iMac and MacBook Pro. I have tried bothe mahines, and while they are tiny, they work excellent with high quality sound.

Great to hear! Thanks a lot guys! :D I just saw it in the pictures at apple.com. It would have been odd if it didn't have one really. I use the one on my current iBook and it works so great to record lectures and talk over Skype that I really couldn't do without.
