    Hi there,

My father's in the market for a notebook and I convinced him to make the switch. Actually my iMac did the convincing :D

Anyway one thing that bugged my father was that none of the apple portables have the PCMCIA slot which we have to use on vacations to connect to Internet.

My question is, is there a way around this? maybe a usb to pcmcia adapter? any info on this will be greatly appreciated.

    thanks in advance

The ExpressCard is actually a newer type of PCMCIA, so it's still PCMCIA. However, I don't know of any adapters to allow the use of an older PC card.

Just to clarify, ExpressCard runs off of a PCI Express bus, rather than PCI, as PCMCIA did. There is no compatability between the two as of now.
