Hi guys

I have a new Macbook Pro (retina) at my work. I also use a PC - which is connected to 2 monitors via VGA and DVI. My best monitor is the DVI connection.

I want to connect my Macbook Pro to my best monitor - it has a VGA port and a DisplayPort free. I've bought this but it isn't working.

Any ideas? The cable is listed as DisplayPort to HDMI - does that mean it can't send HDMI to DisplayPort (i.e. the macbook to the monitor). I don't want to use VGA but unless I can get the DisplayPort working then I guess I'll have to?
