MacBook Pro with ATI Mobility Radeon X1700?!

    The interesting thing is this X1700 uses strained silicon which is silicon that is stretched which decreases the resitance of the silicon. This means less powerconsumption and less heat.

    Also, the X1700 incorporates Avivo which can be used for hardware decoding of Blueray and HDTV content.

    Please put this chip in the revised MacBook Pro's :)

    Other than included AVIVO the Mobility X1700 is the same as the Mobility X1600 except for a die-shrink and possible higher clocks.

    They share the exact same specifications.
