I'm going to be getting a new MacBook Pro (2MB RAM) and I'm thinking about getting a 30" Cinema Display to go with it. I've seen the Radeon X1600 driving smaller displays with pretty impressive WoW framerates, 60-75 fps outdoors with all setting cranked up. But I wonder what pushing all those extra pixels on the 30" will do to performance. Anyone have this setup?

Depends what resolution you run it at I guess. You will be taxing it I imagine. Mind you, your 2MB of RAM will help you out! :p

IF your main motivation is to play WoW at full res with that monitor, it's not worth it. The graphics card on the MBP is nice, but it's still a mobile. The FPS is nice at lower resolutions but you will be SAD at the full 30" res...unless you want to invest in a Mac Pro ;)
