Does anyone know if they can do repairs on the spot or if they send it to Applecare? I have a problem where my Macbook screen flickers everytime it comes out of sleep and it's really bugging me.

The screen flickering definetly isn't normal... it just started occuring recently. There is a pretty big thread about it on the Apple Support forum, and a lot on MR.

If you can fix RAM then you're way out of my league, I just replace it. ;(

Apple stores don't do screen related repairs in house.

W14th St. Store has twice replaced MacBook pro screens for me in house.

Most Apple Stores will do that in house, unless they're out of parts...

I think I've done that in your house. Or was that someone else?

This thread's position on Google has attracted a lot of 1-post-wonder pieces of self promotion.
