My first MacBook turned up 4 weeks late, I was issued a £50 credit note. That was all well and good, until it turned a shade of green/pink/yellow.

This was replaced for another C2D MacBook, which has a wobbly screen/doesnt stand up, and it changing colour (although not as bad).

Apple told me it could only be exchanged for another white model, eventhough I wanted it exchanged for a black refurb to avoid the staining. The replacement arrived, and its a Core Duo, not a C2D - meaning its been swapped for an older model than originally purchased.

I called them about this, and all the problems they'd caused - they told me I'd get the brand new Black one free of charge - great, progress.

Today they called and said it couldn't be done and I'd have to settle for the CD I have, or have that exchanged for the C2D model.

Is it worth all the hassle, to go from CD to C2D?

Uuuhg YES! You paid money for a C2D and receiving a CD- you are being over charged. If you can't get the black model then get the white replacement c2d and while you are at it- buy some protective rubber from Marware for your macbook so you won't have as many problems.
