I am going to sell my asus and get a white macbook the 2ghz one. But when new macbooks come out when ever that will be I will sell the macbook. so I was wondering how much money do you think that the current macbook be worth when the new one comes out.

    In a nice place..
Used Macs values have been changing a lot over the past year, mostly due to the intel transition. I would say that if the system is stock, which usually isn't the case as memory is usually upgraded, then some value below the apple refurb price should be fair. If there is a major change in the next macbook, such as moving to core2duo resulting in the "need to upgrade", then the price might be even lower. Before the intel move, the only thing to look at was the speed of the cpu, ram, and little odds and ends, such as bluetooth/airport, and sometimes resolution.

I love the fact that apple is growing really fast, and that new users are enjoying macs, but that does mean there will be a lot more out there, which will affect resale value.

    My opinions of course.

If you buy them refurbished or under educational pricing you really shouldn't lose more than $100 when eventually unloading (in the near future)

Yea, I say that if you buy it refurbished from Apple you will only lose about a max of $150.
