    people,

my macbook was experiencing some issues over the last few weeks regarding the now imfamous Random Shutdown....but its was left on until the firmware was released to fix it...

now its doing my head in!!

pressing the power button to go thru the firmware completion deos nothing but flash the power button a few times, and leave the CD Drive in a cycled clicking sound.....no screen comes on at any time...

    anyone help??

is there a way to reset the PSU on the macbook just like the iMac??

got really important stuff on here that needs working on this week!!

    help very very gratefull,

im heading to the apple certified repairstire tomrrow with it anyway..

Burn the disc and use it to restore your firmware. Otherwise you'll have to take it to Apple repair.

You don't have to do a full boot. Is it powering on at least?

Follow the instructions. I said POWER ON not boot. It's not going to fully boot since you're having firmware issues. :p

Yes, I know your Mac is acting up but the disc should resolve the bad update.

    seemed to work great...

then i restarted to make sure. and it doesnt boot up, just clicks off..:(

    trying the cd again..

sounds like i have a power supply problem going on here, or another fecking logic board issue..

whats going on at apple thesedays!!! sort it out....the quality control is slipping big time since this intel switch

If you can't get it to work with the Firmware Restoration CD and holding the power button down, it's time for a trip to Apple. :(
