I have a video camera which writes video on mini-DVDs, and the slot-loading drive on my MacBook doesn't take them in. That wouldn't be such a big problem, but as I stuck one of them in, I can't seem to get it out by pushing the "eject" button..

Are there any workarounds to this problem or suggestions how to get it out painlessly?

'Fraid not. You know the instructions say not to put in mini-DVDs for a reason.

BUT, as it's in there now, you might try two things: turn the macbook on edge (DVD slot down) and gently tap it to try and dislodge the DVD.

Or: GENTLY insert a piece of tape or some such thing and try to grab it.

I haven't heard of people having much success getting out stuck mini-DVDs, though, so you might have to send it off to Apple, or take it to a store if you're lucky enough to have one in your area.

My best guess would be to hold the macbook, slot down, and shake *hard*.
That or some *really* skinny tweazers.
Or, take it to your local Apple store and see what they can do.

Thanks! Damn, I really should have read the instructions before I tried this...

I hope it works, because I don't have any official Apple stores in my country that could help me with this. :(

I will report back (hopefully on success) later, when I get home from work and try this out
