I just got my Macbook the other day, and it is pretty sweet. I do have a problem with my trackpad, though. If I use the keyboard, and have my finger on the trackpad edges, when I go back to trying to move the cursor, nothing happens. I can move my finger all around on the trackpad on the sides and nothing moves at all. Once I move my finger back to the center, the cursor starts working again. Any ideas? This isn't just the extreme edge, either. The dead spot is roughly 1/3 of the trackpad size on either side. It's only when I go from keyboard to trackpad, also. Once the cursor is moving, those sides will work. It's pretty fracking annoying.

There should be a setting that disables the curser while typing.... go to preferences & disable the feature

In System Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Trackpad is Ignore accidental trackpad input checked?

If so, uncheck it. I remember having that checked almost drove me insane, and it might or might not help... :)

Well, I think that I fixed it. I disabled the accidental trackpad input in system preferences, and now all seems to be working. That's odd though. maybe it considered the edges as mostly accidental, while the middle is always deliberate. I guess that could be possible with as wide as this trackpad is. All is well, nevermind. Thanks!
