I got the strangest idea last night, I was thinking how interesting it would be if I came up with a little Apple quiz with 10 or so questions, and had all of you guys answer them. So I came up with a few ideas for questions, but watch out, because some of them are difficult, and may require you to recall some detailed stuff from the past. Post your score in the poll. Don't worry, the poll is private, so there is no pressure to cheat and find the answers online in order to look superior. So that means it is up to you to decide if you want to post your results.

The answers are at the bottom, so "post reply" in a serperate tab so you can go back and forth between tabs to keep looking at the questions. And for the T or F questions, do not correct the statement to make it true, just answer "True" or "False". Answer away, and don't cheat!

    1. True or False: The first Intel-based Macs introduced were the Core Duo iMac and the Core Duo/Solo Mac Mini.

    2. What was the current version of the Mac OS that was available at the time the first Powermac G5 was introduced?

    3. How many days did Apple's transition from PPC to Intel take? (From the introduction of the first Core Duo Mac, until the introduction of the mac pro)

    4. Which of the following hard drive sizes did not exist in any of the iPod models: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 gigabytes?

    5. What was the fastest (in clock speed) G4 processor ever used by Apple?

    6. In the "MDD" revision of the Powermac G4, what did "MDD" stand for?

    7. True or False: The highest priced iPod(s) at the time, were priced at $499? (sorry, I don't know that number in euros, etc.)

    8. When the first iPods were introduced, you synced them using the program ______?

    9. At the time of release, the iBook G3, or "Clamshell" iBook came in the colors ______

    10. (2 part question, you only get it right if you get both parts right.) The iMac G5 Revision C. featured not only an iSight Camera, but was ______ (than the last model in form factor), and featured new software called __________ (not Photobooth)

I know. I always like researching random stuff about Apple though.

And yes, I know my username is spelled incorrectly, but it's a long story on why I do that. ;)

    5/10. I did it all from memory. I missed 2, 3, 5, 6 and 10.

Meh. I'm not really into processors, nor OS's. so in other words.... not interested in half of what Apple does.

I"m awarding myself #10, even though I had a different answer: thinner, photobooth.

I think that also shipped first with the iMac G5.

Sorry guys, the answer to number ten is not photobooth, but since that is a valid answer, anyone who got "photobooth" (prior to this post) count it as a correct answer. But I changed the question to say "not photobooth" because that is not the answer I am talking about.
