Intro

As there seems to be some confusion about the MR Clan, and the fact that the previous gamertag thread was not as user friendly as it could be, I decided to spring this thread into existence. I'll keep it up to date as possible with gamertags (either PM me or just reply to the thread - and I'll add your name to the list) and supply info on the MR Clan.

MR Clan Status

Which is the first order of business! I've PM'd buryyourbrideau and even he (as the previous clan overlord) doesn't know who the current overlord is, or the state of organisation of the MR Clan. So whoever it is (or has the most idea of the clan) let me know and I'll add the info here.

But for now, here is the one stop shop for all those who have submitted their gamertag.

You can add me to a clan - dont want to be boss overlord though. Great to play other macrumors users, rather than some of the weirdo's on live

Also I'm on GMT time and usually any evening after 5pm (or during the day if I'm bored in the studio )

I've played online a few times since getting it all sorted last Friday, and TBH haven't ever used the mic - its always switched off. Mainly down to the fact that I've only ever talked to mates I'm playing against (when PC gaming) but the fact that a) the are some right idiots on there and b) I was going to say there are loads of squeaky voiced kids, but thats not the problem - they just make me feel old!

An example of an idiot (British example)

Random bloke: I do occasionally, but thats not what I'm using it for mainly.
CHAV: Yeah, yeah, I've got porn on my PC screen
Random bloke:Errrr, I've got sales figures on mine. I mainly use it for business...
CHAV: Well you're f**king boring then (and then a sound that resembles a donkey being, well, violated occurs. I think its him laughing. If not I should have informed the RSPCA)
Random Bloke: Well I get paid £70k a year to do it
CHAV: Yeah, well, I get paid more, I've got my own, like, business.

At this point I sign off as I'm not playing with these tools
The idea of a clan looks more and more appealing despite avoiding being in one when I was PC gaming a lot!

I would be more than glad to take over as overlord again.

I got a new gamertag and i got kicked as overlord.

So you can find it out somehow who the overlord is but im not exactly sure how.

Hmm actually I just looked at bungie's site and my old tag Hopesfallen is still the overlord so I dont know how to change that.

Any thoughts?

I wish Microsoft Make PGR3 Like PGR2, I.e the lobby, the ability to "host" your own game, Kick, Ability to change map ect, restrict certain cars (F50GT )

TIP: Plug the apple Keyboard into the back of your xbox, make typing all those gamer tags and messages alot easier

Fair point Onizuka, I've sent a whole bundle of requests out, and didn't add an MR referrence, and as a consequence only some of the folks who check this thread have all-cleared me! Either that or I need to take things personally

I wasn't sure on the keyboard compatibility Uma888, my reply to you yesterday took a bloody age! Will see if the spare wireless keyboard I've got hanging around will do the trick...

Did the MR Clan ever happen?
To keep the screaming meanies (i.e. annoying children) out, I've joined F.R.A.G - an over 21's XBL gaming community. You need to be approved by 10 members to get in after playing them. Great way to get decent games consistantly against some great people! Its generally a British forum, but there are a few American and Canadian cousins playing and the odd mad Dutchman

Well I'm a total n00b at XBL, so I don't know if you guys would wan't me on your clan... I'll be online only rarely on weekends and I don't even own a headset, but for what it's worth my gamer tag is Yei Pi and I play COD2 and PGR3 (Very poorly )
