    sorry about the title, i was a bit low on idea but anyway i beat you too it! that is a sign of me having nothing to do and looking at the same 3 sites all day!

    I really don't get it. Why did George not take care of his film in the first place?

    Well, first, we made some progress in the last 25 years. Then, look at some really old videos (or something like that) you have. Don’t you think they could need some help, to be as good as some years ago?

    Purple Darth Vader

    I heard a few years ago, Darth Vader looked purple on the screen before they cleaned up the movie and came out with the special edition. That was back in 1999. It would seem they had to clean up the dirt from the films that only existed in that short time. It makes me wonder why the master copy wouldn't be taken care of better. The films are dirtier than the emperor.

    George has deep pockets to fund the storage necessary to keep his movies brand new. He probably just wanted to own a couple hundred G5's.
