It's not being easy for me to decide on i5 vs i7 for a 13"... I guess what many people are looking for are battery life and heat benchmarks, since most have already figure out that the i7 is faster ;)

For reference, here are the relative increases in Geekbench scores [(i7-i5)/i5] for all 2012 and 2011 models:

    32-bit:
    13" 2012: 12.78%
    13" 2011: 6.85%
    11" 2012: 20.34%
    11" 2011: 24.26%
    64-bit:
    13" 2012: 13.50%
    13" 2011: 7.83%
    11" 2012: 20.68%
    11" 2011: 25.79%

For the 13 inch, this year's i5->i7 upgrade is somewhat more significant than last year's... I just wanted to know if heat is also an issue as it was last year...

So far, I have not noticed heating issues with the i7. I haven't run anything too intensive, though. The 2011 definitely could get hot at times, but I wasn't bothered by it.

Woah, definitely a noticeable improvement in performance (look at how many seconds difference on quite a few of them).

I feel happier with my i7 now but yet again that's still only because there isn't a battery/heat comparison. Why have literally no websites compared this?

I'm guessing AnandTech will, once he gets his hands on an i7. He's on vacation right now, celebrating his 30th birthday, though.
