I always find it fun to make my own iPad stands and cases, and also for my iPhones.

and inspired by others versions I have seen, I made this stand with Palissander wood, which is a very nice rich warm wood with dark flames.
I kept the look straight with sharp edges, covered the inside with felt, so not to damage the iPad, and lacquered it all, to give it a nice sheen.
the iPad can stand at two angles and is supported with a brushed steel rod

That actually looks really nice. I was expecting to see something made out of cardboard.

Very nice. How long does it take you to complete this stand? You can start your case and stand business now!! :D

a few asked if this is also usable with the iPad 1, Yes it can :D
I can adjust it to fit it with both iPad versions.

If I would add the dock connector you would not be able to put the iPad on its side !

I, and some others, thought it looked a bit to square, so I tweaked the design a bit, and it looks more pleasing now :D
