    Helloa,
I've a week-old Macbook, and my magnification function stopped working.. its enabled in the dock setup, but it just doesn't work. Sometimes the bouncy program-launch function won't work either, and once or twice the magnification function worked and got stuck in the middle. The dock itself works, though, i can launch and close programs. Weird.. any thoughts?

    Try repairing disk permissions.
If that doesn't work do a spotlight search for "com.apple.dock.plist" and drag it to your desktop. Then logout or restart.

    What I said to do.
    Delete the file "com.apple.dock.plist".
