So, I have my Facebook Privacy Settings set so that every post I make is only visible to Friends and NOT visible to a "limited list" that I created (mostly containing work friends).

Recently, I've been posting status updates from the Facebook button in Notification Center and noticed it COMPLETELY OVERRIDES this privacy setting and makes the post visible to EVERYONE, including those on my limited list. That's really bad.

I sent feedback to Apple but who knows when that gets fixed. Anyone else notice this issue?

Could be a Facebook problem too. You are coming into their db by two different paths. Send them a note as well.

This problem applies to iOS as well. I'm pretty pissed about it right now myself.

Ok, figured it out... this one was pretty stupid... for some reason, tap to post in iOS and Mountain Lion have setting in lower right of each post you do for public or friends only etc. It automatically disregards your profile settings and mine were set to public by default on iOS but friends only on ML. Either way, I just changed to Friends only when I make a new post... and from then on it remembers that setting as the default... pretty weird way they have that setup. I dont like that these OS can simply walk around my actual FB settings.
