making my own shortcuts

I'm sorry if there's a forum about this already, but if there is i couldn't find it.

Anyways, I love shortcuts and I'm interested in making some of my own. I like that tiger lets me customize i nice handful of them, but what if, for example, i want a new shortcut for emptying the trash? Can I add actions? How? Thanks guys.

You can probably make an Automator app for that type of stuff...try it out..

The built-in for replacing existing key comands doesn't really work (or I've never figured out how to use it right).

System Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Keyboard Shortcuts tab
